Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chuck, cut into chunks
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Sear beef chunks until browned, then set aside.
  3. In the same pot, sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
  4. Add paprika, caraway seeds, salt, and pepper; cook for 1 minute.
  5. Return beef to the pot, add carrots, potatoes, bell pepper, and beef broth.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours until beef is tender.
  7. Adjust seasoning as needed and serve hot.
