Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing until combined.
- In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar for coating.
- Form dough into 1 1/2-inch balls, roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture, and place on prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden, but centers remain chewy.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let cool on the baking sheet.
