  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized portions onto prepared baking sheet, spacing evenly.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cookies are cracked and slightly soft in the center.
  9. Allow cooling on a wire rack before serving.
