- 2 cups cooked macaroni
- 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Slowly add milk and heavy cream, whisk until smooth. Cook until thickened.
- Stir in shredded cheese and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and pepper.
- Mix cheese sauce with cooked pasta and shredded chicken. Pour into a baking dish.
- Top with Parmesan cheese and bake for 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- Use cooked leftover chicken for quick assembly.
- You can substitute with other cheeses like mozzarella or Monterey Jack.
- Serve with a side of steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
