- 1 pound fresh or dried fettuccine
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream, bring to a simmer, and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add cooked fettuccine to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Warm through for 1-2 minutes.
- Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.
- For a richer flavor, add a dash of nutmeg or a splash of white wine to the sauce.
