  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil sweet potatoes until tender, then mash until smooth.
  3. Mix mashed sweet potatoes with melted butter, milk, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Transfer to a greased baking dish.
  5. In a bowl, combine pecans, flour, brown sugar, and cold butter to make streusel.
  6. Sprinkle streusel evenly over sweet potatoes.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until topping is golden brown and casserole is heated through.

Notes
