Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • For Cinnamon Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla.
  5. Alternate adding flour mixture and sour cream, starting and ending with flour, and mix until just combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  8. While cookies cool, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and cinnamon to make glaze.
  9. Drizzle glaze over cooled cookies before serving.
