- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- For Cinnamon Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla.
- Alternate adding flour mixture and sour cream, starting and ending with flour, and mix until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- While cookies cool, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and cinnamon to make glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over cooled cookies before serving.

- For extra flavor, add chopped nuts or caramel chips to the dough.
