- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup gluten-free soy sauce or tamari
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp cornstarch or arrowroot powder
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil to make the teriyaki marinade.
- Marinate the chicken pieces in the sauce for at least 15 minutes.
- Toss the marinated chicken with cornstarch to coat evenly.
- Air fry the chicken in a single layer for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and cooked through.
- Drizzle with extra teriyaki sauce if desired, garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, and serve hot.
