- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Marinara sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Set up a breading station: flour, beaten eggs, and seasoned bread crumbs in separate shallow dishes.
- Dip each mozzarella cube in flour, then egg, then coat thoroughly with bread crumbs.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the mozzarella bites in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot with marinara sauce.
Notes
- For a healthier version, bake the bites at 400°F for 10-12 minutes until crispy.
- You can prepare the breaded mozzarella cubes ahead of time and freeze before frying.
