- 1 sleeve of saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and arrange crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until smooth. Bring to a boil and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour caramel over crackers, spreading evenly. Bake for 10-12 minutes until bubbly.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over hot caramel. Let sit for 5 minutes, then spread melted chocolate evenly.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts on top and allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add sea salt or drizzle melted white chocolate.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
