Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve of saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and arrange crackers in a single layer.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until smooth. Bring to a boil and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Pour caramel over crackers, spreading evenly. Bake for 10-12 minutes until bubbly.
  4. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over hot caramel. Let sit for 5 minutes, then spread melted chocolate evenly.
