Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Form into 12 meatballs.
  3. In a skillet, brown meatballs over medium heat until golden, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bring to a simmer, then transfer to the oven to bake for 20 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, cook potatoes in boiling water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain.
  6. In a pot, mash potatoes with butter, garlic, milk, salt, and pepper. Stir in chopped parsley.
  7. Serve meatballs over mashed potatoes with sauce spooned over the top. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
