- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Form into 12 meatballs.
- In a skillet, brown meatballs over medium heat until golden, about 5 minutes.
- Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bring to a simmer, then transfer to the oven to bake for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook potatoes in boiling water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain.
- In a pot, mash potatoes with butter, garlic, milk, salt, and pepper. Stir in chopped parsley.
- Serve meatballs over mashed potatoes with sauce spooned over the top. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
Notes
- Use ground turkey or chicken as a healthier alternative.
- For extra flavor, add a splash of red wine or a dash of paprika to the sauce.
- Prepare the mashed potatoes ahead of time for a quicker meal.
