  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 8 oz (225 g) chow mein or egg noodles
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain and set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken strips and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Pour over cooked chicken and garlic in the skillet, stir to coat and cook for another 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
  5. Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to combine and heat through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes

  • Feel free to add steamed vegetables like broccoli or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
  • Adjust the sweetness or saltiness by modifying honey or soy sauce amounts.
