A batch of soft, fluffy garlic rolls baked with fragrant garlic butter and herbs, ideal for dinner, lunch, or as a snack. Perfectly golden on top, tender inside.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 33 minutes
  • Yield: 12 rolls

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2¼ teaspoons)
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Extra melted butter for brushing

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until foamy, about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and melted butter. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces. Shape into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. In a small bowl, mix minced garlic and chopped parsley. Brush the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle garlic-herb mixture evenly over the top.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with additional melted butter before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add grated Parmesan cheese or a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic topping.
  • Ensure milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast properly.
