- 12 small flour or corn tortillas
- 1 lb cooked shredded chicken or beef
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix the shredded meat with chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Warm tortillas to make them pliable.
- Place a spoonful of meat and cheese on each tortilla, then roll tightly.
- Brush the taquitos lightly with vegetable oil.
- Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Garnish with cilantro before serving with dips.

- You can prepare these in advance and bake just before serving.
- Serve with guacamole, salsa, or sour cream for added flavor.
