A flavorful grilled chicken dish topped with a creamy sauce, crispy bacon, and melted cheese, inspired by Outback Steakhouse’s famous recipe.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup of shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 6 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup of barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Brush chicken breasts with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes per side until cooked through.
  4. In the last 2 minutes, brush with barbecue sauce and top with shredded cheese and crumbled bacon.
  5. Allow cheese to melt, then transfer to serving plates.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken thighs for breasts for extra juiciness.
  • For a lighter version, use turkey bacon and reduced-fat cheese.
