- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 bunch asparagus, ends trimmed
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Push garlic to the side and add shrimp. Cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Add asparagus and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Pour in lemon juice, add lemon zest, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine and cook for another minute.
- Serve immediately garnished with extra lemon slices if desired.

- Adjust cooking time based on shrimp size for perfect tenderness.
- For a richer flavor, add a splash of white wine during cooking.
