- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or cheesy blend)
- 1 package puff pastry or crescent dough
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (parsley, chives)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbled. Let cool slightly.
- Mix cooked sausage with shredded cheese and herbs.
- Roll out puff pastry or crescent dough and cut into squares.
- Place a spoonful of sausage mixture in the center of each square, fold or roll to enclose filling.
- Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
