Ingredients

  • 2 packages of flavored gelatin (lime or cherry)
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Maraschino cherries with stems
  • Edible food coloring (red)
  • Small edible mask or fake eyeballs for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prepare the gelatin according to package instructions, mixing flavored gelatin with boiling water until dissolved.
  2. Add cold water and stir well.
  3. Pour a small layer into shot glasses, about one-third full, and chill until partially set.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare maraschino cherries by inserting a fake eyeball or small edible mask on top of each cherry.
  5. Place the cherries into the semi-set gelatin layer, then pour remaining gelatin over each to fill the shot glasses.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set.
